What do you think about racism in NJ? Honestly being with the military and traveling all over the US, I have to say despite coming off as a 'diverse' liberal progressive place, growing up in North Jersey and NYC, I faced the most racism as a person of ethnic background from largely the Irish Italian and Polacks, many of whom frankly never were on my education level or economic level ironically. There are HUGe pockets of ignorance outside major cities in NJ, and segregation like you will never see in the South and especially MW where really neighborhoods really intermix as far as ethnicity.

Thoughts on this anyone?

well you bring up a very interesting point. I lived in NJ 49 years and now moved to NC. I see huge mixing of races living very close together much more than NJ. Funny that States like VT who claim to be so progressive have really no minorities living there. I agree with you on I believe its less segregated in the South. But maybe people live the way they want to live. Maybe they like to be with their own kind.

That's my anecdotal experience, not a cardinal truth. Respectfully

A better way to start this is to refer to the people of Poland as Polish.
