Hi,

My husband and I are looking to make a move to Madison, NJ in the next year or so. We have two children who are currently in preschool outside of Madison. It is my understanding that Madison has three elementary schools, Torey Sabatini, Central and Kings. I have read the student handbooks for all three elementary schools, and they all sound like excellent and wonderful schools, but beyond the handbooks, I'm trying to get a feel for the schools from actual parents who have sent their kids to these schools. I would be very appreciative of any information you could offer, including a few of my questions below.

1) Are all three elementary schools considered equally strong in academics?

2) Is the student body equally diverse in all of the three elementary schools?

3) Is there common knowledge that one school is stronger than another in certain areas? ie academics, parent involvement, etc etc

4) What is the student-teacher ratio?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my thread and responding to it.

Regards,
ClassicalMusic4

I think Torey and Kings may be more favorable than Central but people who go to Central love it. I have two sets of friends who moved to Madison and wanted to be in either Torey or Kings district but not Central. On the flip side, I have several friends with kids in Kindergarten at Central, and they are very happy.

Thanks. How do the elementary and middle school compare to Chatham?

Hi! Just saw this post and curious where you ended up? We are in Central and love it. We are thinking of sizing up and would only consider it if it was in same school zone. We love the principal, location of school, walkability, etc. All three elementary schools are highly rated and each have their own pros and cons I am sure. Seems everyone is very happy with whichever school their kids are in (although at Torey J you can’t drop off your child in a drop off line in the morning.)
