As clearly explained, this thread is about the recent flooding of DMV's (yes, DMV, that is what I will always call them, just like most other people do) over the last 3 months.
Citing DMV's that you went to years ago do not apply, that was clearly discussed. Hell, Oakland was even brought up as one of the DMV's that is completely full and spilling out up to 100 people into the mall that it's inside of.
So someone posting that they never had a problem at Newton or Oakland clearly did not read the thread, or possibly does not know how to read.
Several others have listed locations they have not had issues at, including Oakland. You're citing one poster who didn't have a good experience there...that's fair enough, but my experience was fine.

Again, I have to ask if you know how to read?
This isn't about how many people had good experiences at certain DMVs.
This is about the change in the last 3 months. So unless you have been there in the last 3 months, your input is completely worthless. That was made clear many times.
If you haven't been to a DMV in the last few months, why are you posting at all?

No one else has made that clarification. Why do you specifically take issue with my post and why are you being so rude and snarky?
I went to Oakland in the beginning of June, during the middle of the week at 12pm to renew my license. I got out at 2pm. Which is a lot longer than when I renewed four years prior (20 minutes). However, the process was so organized and the staff either friendly or, at worst, indifferent, I didn't mind.
All kidding aside, [almost all of it anyway] I just got out of the Newton office and it was still almost completely painless [my last visit there was about three years ago]. Good, friendly attitudes [not baditudes] and about 45 minutes all told to get a renewed license.
