I'd like to put an 8x10 or 10x12 shed on my property in Somerset county. Does anyone have recommendations about where to buy one and not spend a fortune? (beyond big box stores)
I need something very simple for storage, nothing fancy

thanks!

If the OP is a Costco member, I believe that this warehouse club sells sheds.
BJ's might also sell them--albeit for a higher price than Costco--as per their usual practice.

Also, just be sure to check out the regulations in your town, which may require a permit. I think that sometimes it is less of an issue if it is under 100 square feet.

+1
Additionally, because the distance of a shed or other structure from property lines is almost always a statutory issue, the OP really needs to check with the folks at his local town hall, lest he winds up in violation of a local statute.

You probably need a dumb permit. Get that before you buy. I second costco but there are also a lot of places that have the sheds on display near many major roads and highways.

+2, every town is different as well, so what works for one town on here might not be acceptable in yours.

For example, I can put a shed in anywhere as long as it's <100 sf. However, if it touches the house it will be considered additional footage on the home and taxed accordingly. But that's not the case everywhere.

I'm in Monmouth county, which I know is a distance from you, but I bought a cedar shed from Kempton 30 years ago and it's still in great condition.

What is your budget? I have one of these:

But you need a wooden platform to put it on which can probably cost another $400 - $500 to build.
