I used to buy a beach pass for the summer for Long Branch, which doesn't include 7 Presidents. It' $45. Not sure how old you are, but after 62, it's free.

Thanks I’ll check it out. Not having to worry about parking is what drew me to 7 Presidents but I also don’t usually go during the day so not sure it’s worth the money. Still pondering.
I love LBI but since this is sort of on topic - Any good beaches to drive down that aren't over an hour away? I live in West Orange, so I am used to going to the Rockaways back in NYC but I am not driving that far. DO they all require passes?

Any tips are heavily welcomed!
Sandy Hook charges you by car and is probably the closest. Great beach.
Have a backup plan. When they reach capacity, they refuse admission.
In general or for Sandy Hook in particular? They're banning alcohol this year for the first time (finally), so maybe it will take a little longer to fill up.....
Once Sandy Hook closes it is a long slow crawl down 36 and the first public beach with a lot is Sea Bright and that lot has been filling by around 9 on weekends. I'd stay on the highway and do Long Branch, Asbury or Point Pleasant. If there are shuttles from the train to the beach (I think I read that somewhere) the train might be a good option for Asbury or Point Pleasant. I like Ocean Grove too, but the parking is a horror.

I used to live in Highlands and work in Sea Bright. Back when there was a drawbridge (!) instead of what's there now. Could take over an hour to go 3 miles in the summer. Good times .

Sandy Hook. Long Branch has nice beaches and a new boardwalk, courtesy of Sandy, and is only Exit 105.
