The owners of the Giants and Jets are morons for keeping the stadium in that worthless wasteland aka the Meadowlands looks like a **** hole of a place.
The stadium should have been built near one of the PATH stations in Jersey City or Harrison, or Hoboken Terminal which has NJ Transit and PATH which would mean less driving and less traffic.
Anyone that says "well what about tailgating" is an idiot. Most Giants or Jets fans don't even tailgate. We basically have a stadium and a huge parking lot and that American Dream Mall already looks ghetto.
Since the Commanders are getting a new stadium after only being in the current one since 1997, the Giants and Jets should demand a new stadium move into one of those cities that have some legit transit.

Nowhere to put it. Devils actually looked into Hoboken and JC before settling on Newark. I think stadiums that size are more realistic for this area.

What football stadium isn’t miles out from the downtown? I think Nashville’s is close.

Bengals Paycor Stadium is in downtown Cincinnati.

Falcons Mercedes-Benz Stadium is practically in downtown Atlanta and has direct one-seat rail through MARTA.

Saints Caesars Palace Stadium is in downtown New Orleans and next to a tram stop.

Seahawks Lumen Field n Seattle is in downtown and next to a light rail stop.

So right there are stadiums that are in walkable areas of the city and with legitimate rail transit.

Not to mention many soccer stadiums in European cities are not far from the center.

I am not saying it should be put smack dab in the center but should be put in an area where not everyone that has to transfer two commuter rail trains to get to it.

I would be ok with Newark. There is no need for stadiums to have giant parking lots. It's practically wasted space once that is done. Keeping in a downtown near transit reduces drunk driving too.

Newark makes more sense over hoboken/JC, though you would have to find a way to not impact all residential areas. We are at least ~20 years out until the next stadium. The next fight should be about renaming the Jets and Giants to New Jersey or kick them out of the stadiums/state.

Very good to know - all the NFL stadiums that I've been to have been even more inconveniently outside of the city than Metlife. The only one that wasn't is Philly. You can add that to your list. I would be all for the stadium having better access like the Prudential Center and Red Bull Arena do.

That's right SEPTA I believe goes to the Lincoln Financial field stadium there in Philly. It's crazy that in cities that have generally lousy transit in the USA, there are a some gems out there with excellent transit to their NFL stadiums but Meadowlands Stadium is clearly not one of them.
