So far from what I've known, Summit is full of rich white people. However my wife and my daughter are Asians, and we are a median-income family. We decided to move to Summit because we want our daughter to go to Summit High so she can have a better education.
But I heard that Summit is not a really nice neighborhood, i don't know if that is true or not. I'm just worrying about my daughter. I don't want her to come across any racial discrimination.

BTW it's Summit, Union.

Why hangout in white area? What about other mix area? You need nice people around your girl not white people.
Good luck.

I just found that out today, and I'm just making sure. People told me that NJ is full of racist people, but that's not true at all, not in EB at least.

We can switch job if we don't like the environment. What about your daughter? Where can she go if she doesn't like the place? Take it easy dad. Education is important but her healthy life also important too.

You'll have to forgive me for my bluntness, but I'm going to let you in on a little secret. You're daughter is going to face varying degrees of racism/social discrimination when interfacing with "mainstream society" wherever she goes to school and in her adult life. It's a simple fact of life that you and her are going to have to accept. I plan to throw my hypothetical kids into the deep end and send them to some WASPy prep school. They'll either come out helluva strong or hang themselves. As I don't want weakling kids, I wouldn't want it any other way!

Good luck.
I'm not American, but I'm white. Not all white people are racist. But yes, i'm concerned about this white area thing. However my wife insists, and we are moving this Wednesday.

Thank you so much for your comment. It sounds like the problem is getting real serious. I guess me and my daughter will have to learn how to deal with it for the next 4 years.
