happens...I know we were joking about the pirates a week ago but this will hurt;
Frontline Ltd., which sails five to 10 tankers of crude a month through the treacherous Gulf of Aden, said it was negotiating a change of shipping routes with some of its customers, including oil giants Exxon Mobil, Shell, BP and Chevron, a move that could boost costs by up to 40 percent
And the big 3 want us to bail them out. Where was the investment in new technologies...why aren't we ahead. So much for getting all these dinasours off the lots. So much for housing values further away from NYC.
I don't think it'll have as big of an impact as you think- the shipping costs may increase by 40%, but that's a relatively small portion of the overall cost of a gallon of gas. The overall gas price might go up 10-20 cents, but it's not going to jump 40%.
I know it's been great..I can actually fill up my Grand Cherokee without breaking $30
a mini cooper that gets 37 miles a gallon to fill Im paying 20 bucks its great!! And remember I have no life and no kids and dont work so what better to do than drive all day and walk, hike , read and shop.
