I am not familiar with the area but have done some research and thinking of renting a house in Franklin Park. I am looking for a townhouse or single family housing. Can someone please advise me on whether $1800 (flexible) is within range of what to expect to rent a house in the area. Also anyone in the area with a house to rent? Craigslist is not giving me much option.

About us: We are a quiet family of 3. Child is starting elementary school, so need a good school. Commute to NYC is also to be considered.

I have mostly read good things about Franklin Park, and hopeful to find a good neighborhood where my child can freely play outside.

Thanks all.

There are plenty of 2 bedroom/2 bath townhome rentals available in FP within the $1800 range. The only requirement is a 1.5 month security deposit, proof of employment and good credit history. However, many of the available homes restrict pets.
