Drew University was second among NJ colleges. Montclair State was ranked as the best state school in NJ.

Actually Princeton was named #2.

Does this really matter to NJ, though? How many students at Princeton are actually from New Jersey? How does the school actually benefit us as taxpayers and residents?

No offense to the OP, but who cares.

I don't think of Princeton as an NJ school. At. All.

The people who go there and many of those who teach there have little love for New Jersey. Princeton cares about Princeton, that is it.

It's a pretty place to walk around in the summer. When it's empty.

And being from NJ will actually hurt your chances of getting into Princeton by the way. You're much better off to be an applicant from Wyoming or something.
