House with no basement but only crawl space (hardwood floor, houses)

In northern Bergen County, will a house with no basement but only crawl space have difficulty re-selling itself? The area comps that I saw mostly have a basement, finished or not.

I heard that you cannot put hardwood floor on the first floor if a house only has crawl space. Is that true?

Not true. My house in NJ had all wood floors, and no basement.
Here I also have wood floors, no basement. Both houses are crawl, but not wet like my house was in NJ, All rock here.

Having a real basement will always resale higher than ones without. Basements add more liveable space. I myself would never buy a home without a basement.

For resale, i think its tough. If you plan to live in it, i think maybe you can justify it. For example i think i would trade our basement for living on a non busy street.
