It's 68 and not a cloud in the sky here today. This is very important to me (lack of cloud cover). Am I homesick for snow? Ah, no. Other aspects of NJ, yes. Snow is not one of them.
How much snow did you guys get? My mom told me it did not snow at all in January in Morris County, which is very unusual.
We're in upper Passaic County with only about a 1/2 inch so far...still light flurries though. I won't miss this a bit...at least I don't think I will.

We don't get as much as we use to..remember the days - staying home from school to watch the snow pile up by the glass door...feet of snow. remember? Now we're lucky if we get a foot. Fenruary is snow month now...president's weekend we usually get hit pretty hard.

LOL - now, how did I know you'd say that?
the lack of snow is pissing me off quite frankly. this snow is supposed to turn to ice tonight. great. i think your mom is right about no snow in january, maybe there were a few flurries or coatings, but nothing to speak of.

Remember the winter of 1977? The snow combined with the cold was something I'll never forget. Also, I think it was this day in 1983 (Feb 12), when northern NJ received 24 inches of snow. I recounted it in another post. It postponed a vacation to California by two days. When I finally got on that plane and landed in Los Angeles, I knew I had found a better place (at least in terms of weather).

Ice tomorrow...check again - 2-inches of rain..flood warnings!

I can't help it Tahiti! Every day I wake up here, I thank my maker that I don't have to experience the harsh winters I grew up with. Nothing against NJ! Had I grown up in say, Michigan or Wisconsin, I'd say my level of trauma would have been far worse.
