What is that thing and where does it live? I would scream too if I saw that thing.

I was reading on Wikipedia that Solifugids can get 12 inches long. They are non-venomous but can bite. Said they live in a desert. I've never seen one here. I haven't seen scorpions and only a few centipedes. It's the black widows that I don't like and seem to get regularly. Last week I brought in a plant from outside and then saw a big black spider on my ceiling--pretty sure it was a black widow. Ugh. It's in the vacuum with a paper towel stuffed in the hose so it can't crawl out (hopefully.)

If I saw one of these in my residence, I would move. Fast.

I lived in Tucson for over a year, and went hiking in the desert almost every weekend during that time, never saw anything. I'm one of the lucky few I guess.
