With Bingaman's term being up for re-election in two years, I decided to do a poll on which Republican should run against Bingaman in 2012.
My vote would be Allen Weh. While it would probably be very difficult for anyone to defeat Bingaman (unfortunately), I would probably say Allen Weh would be the best challenger.
1. No Weh (get it? Weh). 2. Doug Turner - not really known outside the 87106 zip code. 3. Pete Jr. - word has it he recently learned the alphabet. 4. Janice Arnold-Jones - who's that? 5. Heather Wilson - a vile, vile human being (does her hubby still fancy little kids?). 6. Steve Pearce - comfortable in the H of R., not going anywhere. 7. G. Zanetti - one of those Calvary Chapel loonies.

Wouldn't count Heather Wilson out. She's heading the Martinez transition team.
It doesn't matter. Spend enough millions on attack ads and even a rotting corpse has a fighting chance these days. I expect the attack ads against Bingaman will start any day now. His approval ratings are over 60% so those out-of-state groups better start fabricating some case against him soon.
He is too foucused on the presidency... and that is not going to happen.
Bingman needs to go though, and we need someone powerful to run against him.
