The Rio Rancho Symphonic Band is a concert band, now in its seventh year, under the direction of John C. Emory. It currently draws its members from Rio Rancho and Albuquerque, and has performed at venues as varied as outdoor parks, community centers, football stadiums, the New Mexico State Fair, and in 2012 plans to make an appearance at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. The band plays music similar to what might be heard at a Boston Pops concert by mixing patriotic music, Broadway show tunes, classical and military marches, and sophisticated concert band pieces.

The Rio Rancho Dance Band is a specific instrumentation group of members from the symphonic band. This band is also all-volunteer and consists of 15 to 17 talented brass, saxophone, piano, drum set, and bass players.

For more information about each band, please submit inquiries via e-mail to rioranchoband@gmail.com.
