Was a great day. Snowed the last 40 or so miles and was bitter cold in the morning but by 1PM it was close to 20celcius. Already booked a hotel to spend the night next year.

Its a perfect location, first time there. Ill take a bunch more pics next time but the roads are windy and scenic, tonnes of lakes.

20C? That's downright balmy, 68F!!!

Too bad Red River is so far from Alamogordo. I need to find a summer place where it's cool....! The problem is, I'd want to spend the winters there skiing, too, LOL!!

Thanks for the pics, Brian!!

What is "bitter cold?"

Brian ~ Thanks for posting the pictures ~ they were great. I have a friend who was going down to the rally from the Denver area, and I am anxious to hear his impressions of Red River.

We were in Taos on Saturday and the streets there and here in Santa Fe have been full of bikers on their way to Red River. It was fun to see all of them. Looked like they were all having a heck of a lot of fun.

Bitter = Too damn cold hehe.
You have to take in 34F with 60MPH wind chill (the speed I was doing!) and thats bitter

On a motorcycle, it doesn't have to be very cold for it to be bitter. I've frozen my tush in the Red River area a few times. 34 F will definitely do it!

BrianH: Thanks for the photos. It looks like it was fun, although I'd rather ride up there when I'm the only rider around, in the fall.
