When/If I move to NM. It has always been my father's dream to move to NM, anywhere on the San Juan. He has passed along to me a deep, unabiding love for the mountains and for NM. My husband and I have been talking about it for awhile now and we really would like to move to Northern NM, but only if we can find jobs after I graduate from college, which should be the end of next year.

I am a wildlife management major, wanting to work for the federal government. He is not certified, nor does he have a college degree, but he can do anything he sets his mind too; including, welding, construction, plumbing, electrical work, work with heavy machinery, mechanic on small, large, and diesel engines, and much more.

If we are to move there, we want to know what needs to come first. What we need to prepare for. We are not worried about the weather. We grew up in deep East TX and does not like high, high heat and humidity. We would like milder summers and colder winters. We went through Taos, and the surrounding areas last October and he fell in love with the area instantly, for his first trip to that area. I know NM like the back of my hand, so it won't be that hard to become accustomed too, we just need to know what to prepare for.

You might want to get rid of the Texas license plates as soon as possible.

lol I have been told that before. Do people from New Mexico typically not like Texans? Or is it just part of the whole tourist thing?
