Any help here would be great. I have found a beautiful sublet in the Bywater, but wonder about how safe one would feel there. It is on the river side of St claude, close to the library and the police station. I realize that it is still the city, but does anyone have any insight into the relative safety of this particular location?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You may have some paranoid suburban residents come in and tell you otherwise (or tell you that nowhere in the city will be safe), but in my opinion, anywhere in the Bywater is going to be relatively safe. I wouldn't walk around with two thousand dollars in my pocket at 2 AM, but exercise some basic street smarts and you'll be fine.

Thanks. The neighborhood actually seemed okay when I was there. Just double-checking.

The river side of St. Claude is relatively safe. I'd give it a 6.5/10. However, it starts to go downhill once you cross the street.
