Hello. I'm getting nowhere with the car rental sites and phone calls trying to figure out which companies rent either the Corvette or Mustang convertibles in New Orleans. We are getting married there in April and then taking off for a week to Florida. We'd love a hot convertible for the week.

So, before I continue making dead-end calls, does anyone know for sure, WHICH companies have these specialty cars for rent, either at MSY or elsewhere in the city?

Thanks!

I called Dollar and Hertz. Dollar has them but they are all reserved. This is absurd because last time I was there I saw at least 5 sitting in the lot. Hertz doesn't have the 'Adrenaline Collection' in this market. I will try enterprise.

Just off the top of my head I cannot think of a New Orleans area car rental service that rents Corvette convertibles, not to say that there is not, but I have yet to come across one. So far as Mustangs are concerned almost every car rental service has the basic Mustang convertible for rent, not the 5.0 GT convertible. I am guessing the single largest issue you are encountering is basic supply and demand given the time of year. Were this December there would probably be a multitude of Mustang convertibles available for rent. Also, before you get dead set on a Mustang convertible understand that the trunk space WILL be limited. They have less trunk space than my 67 Fastback which has a trunk mounted full size spare tire. With regard to the rental availability of high end or exotic sports/luxury vehicles in the New Orleans metro it is practically non existent. When we have special events such as the Super Bowl, All Star Game, etc exotic rental businesses from Atlanta, Houston, and Miami usually have some of their fleet vehicles trucked here and set up temporary shop.

You're right. Dollar and Enterprise are all sold out. My guess is they each carry 5 convertibles or so. With that being Jazz Fest week, it appears I'm too late.

So now I'm looking at a Harley instead.
