Family of 4 (boys 10 and 18) in NO for 4 days—staying french quarter and business district. no car, but paying for uber not a problem.
Any ideas on things to do and things to avoid?
There a a concert at Lafayette Square—is that worth visiting.
Thanks!

There is the Audubon Zoo. City Park has mini golf and in general is just nice to hang around and explore. I hear the national WW2 museum is really great if you're into that kind of history. There are also a couple of escape rooms that are highly rated. The aquarium/insectarium is unfortunately closed. Almost forgot there is a Dave and Buster's downtown as well. There are a lot of neat places to explore just walking around. Have a nice time!

I would also suggest a swamp tour.

And maybe a ghost tour while you're in the French Quarter. (It's a walking tour of many of the buildings in the French Quarter, and the interesting history of those places. For me, it wasn't particularly scary or spooky, but it WAS pretty interesting.

Also, you should visit Jackson Square, and the French Market.

Thanks everyone. We hit a lot—
besides restaurants…
Jackson Square, French Market, swamp tour (we did the quiet boat—seemed much more enjoyable than the loud ones), trolleys and ferry for non-walk transport, free concert at Lafayette Square, Moulin Rouge the Musical at the Saenger theater, shopping, the zoo/park, and one of our iphones took a swim in the Mississippi (managed to fish it our—still works!)—nothing was awe-inspiring, but all very pleasant/enjoyable. People were very nice. Looks like rain tomorrow, so probably hit some museums or D&B.
Thanks again, Jeoff
