Hello everyone,

Anyone familiar with this part of east Harlem? Would you consider it safe?

Personally, I'd prefer the west side, but my take is this: If you like the building, just apply. The building supposedly has beautiful scenic city and river views and it's affordable. Decide once you get called, if you do, and when you look at the apartment. You may like the area but not the apartment.

One of the cheapest Manhattan buildings out there, at least in the 165%. If they call you, take a ride up there on a Friday evening and look around.

You're going to get the same answer as every other thread on here about the same topic.....

The area is OK if you "mind your own business" and have "street smarts".

It's fine, although not much happening in the immediate vicinity.

Wow, I got 92,7xx ... this ain't happening for me for sure, especially with 50% CB preference which I don't have (I wish working in the CB district counted ). Think that's the highest number I've ever gotten in one of these things. Just as well as I am happy in my new place and still have 20 months left on the lease I do have!
