Just read about this incident that happened at the Walt Whitman houses in Bklyn.Woman/girl disposed of her unwanted child by dropping it down the trash compactor chute. Aren't there programs in place for people to turn these babies over to authorities so they don't have to do this type of stuff? Thank god the baby lived but only because as so often happens in NYCHA projects the compactor was full AND not working anyway.

This woman needs to get the death penalty. This type of stuff sickens me. Funny or not, there should be like a unwanted baby drop off, where people that really want children can have them. You cant just have a child then thrown them out in the trash.

What is wrong with people. is this not the most horriffic thing????

If there was no sign that said 'NO BABIES', she'll find some lawyer to get her off.

My mother lives in the Fort Green neighborhood and was telling me about this story the other day. Sounds like this was a teenage pregnancy and she was trying to hide it from her mother. TERRIBLE!

This is why it is so important that kids know they can come to their parents about anything. Thank God the baby survived....this could have been a bigger tragedy. Police locked her up and behind bars is exactly where she needs to be!

staggerlee lmaoooooooooooooo.

either by common sense or just simple statistics you gotta realize there are ****ty, ****ed up people everywhere. these kinds of things are sad, but will continue to happen in odd corners in odd ways. tired of them being given the attention they get because the attention doesn't change a thing (they will obviously get what they have coming) and serves only as shock entertainment to the masses.

find something else to talk about, ****.

No matter how many laws get passed, or programs established, one thing remains constant: you can't legislate common sense.

so sad...take your baby to a precint or fire house - no questions asked!

Do not make helpless babies suffer. More has to be done to make people aware of this as an alternative.

as a father of girls i would have to say that that is just plain awful and why with all the programs out there for the girls to take there baby to make sure that they are taken care of ..

i allways told my girls that they could come to me with a problem like that and not to be afraid of anything .

i hate to be the one that says this ..to me it comes back to how they are raised in the house ..
