My friend and I are going thrifting tomorrow in Williamsburg. The link to Beacon's Closet was disappointing because the online store showed clothes priced at $25 - $50. At that price I can buy things at the mall. Anyone know of good thrift stores in the Williamsburg area?

My wife loves thrifty stores and her comment about thrift stores in gentrified parts of Brooklyn is that it's not thrift store...it's boutique store.

So unless you venture out of gentrified areas, I don't think you'll find a real thrift store.

Buffalo Exchange in Williamsburg is awesome. They also have locations in the LES, Chelsea and I believe a few others.

what is the price range at BE?

I shop a lot of thrift and charity shops world wide and love it but, there are some that are a total rip off.

I get most of my best deals at Salvation Army across the country more so in lil towns
