Hi all --

Will be visiting friends and family in Manhattan and Queens for about 2 weeks in May.

Strangely enough none of them are big "flea marketers" -- they know about the one on 6th and Madison -- ?? -- but that's about it.

Where are the really good flea markets? Willing to go to Brooklyn too. It would be nice if they are open on Sundays too.

Thanks!

Chelsea market, Hell's Kitchen flea market, Union Square market are great. Also for the foodie in you-Mario Bataly's Eataly. Warmer weather months bring the "pop up" street fairs..Great Italian Zeppole's, belts, sunglasses etc.

I love the Union Square market. There's a flea market on Sundays, at a school on Columbus Ave. in the 70's. Wish I remembered the exact address, but it's easy to find. It's huge and is held inside the school as well as in the parking lot.

Hey these sound good!

I always thought Chelsea Market and Union Square market were just green markets, i.e. -- vegetables, flowers, etc.??

Apparently there are "wares" as well?

I have heard of Eataly -- sounds fun!

Thanks!
