OP, please do not read.

****

Here goes more of our wasted taxes....

All it takes is a C+, 60 credits, and a willingness to settle, to tap into the government payroll??

Better starting pay, benefits, and retirement, than a private sector entry level employee with a B+ and a Bachlors Degree.

****

Can you imagine, lets give such, a gun and a badge....

He hates all civil service workers, just ignore him.

I believe sanitation and corrections only require high school diplomas (just picture jcoltrane's head exploding now!). If you are interested, all of the jobs have their requirements listed on their respective websites.

To a certain extent I have to agree with him though. I DON'T have a problem with Civil Service jobs/workers. I do have a problem with people being CONTENT with just that. It would be a different story if the OP said "I only have 60 credits at the moment. . ." It just sounds as if he's looking for the 60 Credit requirement and than BAM he's done. It shouldn't be that way, in my opinion (just in my opinion)

To each his own, I just feel as if people should want more than just that (the minimum). Brian I'm not saying this to you specifically I'm just referring to that mentality you do have, it seems.

Its not that way, to get promoted, you need more. And besides, who cares? Why would you care about what another person is content with? I'm not, that's for sure.

If everybody wanted more then we would have problems. It kinda correlates to how a high school diploma isn't worth anything anymore. Everybody goes to college now. Which is good as it creates a stronger educational base for society, but the job opportunities shrink whereas 20 years ago you had 3 guys with BAs applying for the job, now you have 50. Let him rock.
