Is that permanently or a continuation of those silly off-again, on-again regulations that seemed to change based on some alignment of the planets? Or is there some price limitation...wasn't it <$50 for a while?
I wish they would take the sales tax off booze, the most higlhy taxed necessity BEFORE the sales tax is applied.
Sales taxees are the most regressive form of taxation...no wonder why they are so prevalent, rich lawmakers screwing the little guy. How about replacing them with an ASSET TAX, say 2% of Net Worth every year?
Well I guess everyone from Connecticut will once again be shopping in New York City especially since Connecticut did away with the sales tax exemption on clothing and shoes.
I don't see a problem with that. If you can afford shoes that cost more than $100 dollars you can afford the tax. It's nice to know you can buy necessities without being charged more.

The limit should be higher for work related shoes.
It is a pita they way they keep changing the taxes on clothing.
