Second. I am NOT the person who attributed race to this stuff! In case you haven't noticed, the reason that 99% of blacks in America have a special dialect is that it is socially enforced upon each other based on skin color! I have a good friend who normally talks plain jane TV English, but all the sudden one day on the street he encountered a black girl he knew and his voice took on the sound of ebonics. I was surprised! When I asked him after, he said that he had a lot of social pressure to do it because a black female will assume he is homosexual if he speaks to her in plain ("white") English.
