Thinking about lying where I'm from to avoid the social stigma. For example when I'm in the park downtown practicing pick up should I say I'm from a cool place like Brooklyn?

If I were in a park downtown practicing pick up, I would definitely admit to being from The Bronx. It might be one of the few times where it could gain you some cred and work to your advantage.Other times maybe not so much.

Me,I love to tell people I live in The Bronx.....just to see the shock on their faces.

How cool is Brooklyn anyway? You should say you are from Central Park East.

Speak the truth. If someone is to shallow as to have a problem with you living in the bronx do you really want to be friends with them anyway?

I usually tell people in Manhattan I'm from Brooklyn sometimes [even though I grew up in Queens]. It's up to you. If anything, telling people you're from the Bronx will make people more hesitate to start a fight with you.

On this forum, I think the only person who looks down upon Bronx residents is Bronx resident himself Grosvenor.
