PLEASE!! i need help if anyone needs a roommate or know anyone who has a room or is looking for a roommate please let me know i will be moving to nyc next spring and i want to room with someone my budget is 600-1000 a month. i work at a hotel so i will be simply transferring jobs and i want to do bartending on the side for extra money but my real goal is to go back t school. ive been working for almost 2 years now buildibng my resume and now i need to head back to school. i am a 20 year old black male. VERY responsible, mature, fun to be around, laid back, sometimes quiet. PLease if anyone has any resources ( besides craigslist!!!) or has a room available or knows someone who has a room please let me know!!!
Craigslist is probably your best bet. I've met roommates on there and it's worked out fine. Also it's way too early to be looking for next spring. With the way apartments go in NYC I would suggest you start looking a little over a month before you want to move at the soonest.

Just do Craigslist, it's what pretty much every twenty something in New York uses.
Also, as mentioned, looking for a room for next Spring right now is pointless. A month to six weeks before you get here is when you want to start sending out e-mails.
