I am a graduating Senior in Long Island(Nassau County) and I plan on going to community college. After two years I plan on transferring to Brooklyn College. During my time in community college I will be working at Wendy's saving my money. When I do start looking for apartments how much rent will be too much rent and also which job should I look for that will help me pay the bills. I originally lived in Brooklyn but we have recently moved to this crappy town in Long Island and I eventually want to move back to Brooklyn permanently. I know that rent has been getting high recently. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

go find a few roommates . If you do get into Brooklyn College there will be somebody there that will be able to help you with this question. Landlords who want to rent to college kids often work with the school to make this happen and the school keeps a list of those friendly to the students. Nothing else matters. Study hard at community college so you can get a free ride to Brooklyn college and have more money for housing, Good luck
