I have about a handful of friends that have section 8 in nyc, a few of them even obtained college degrees while on the program. Now some of my friends dont even want to utilize their degrees because its going to strip them of their voucher, which will raise their rent so significantly. What would you do?

NYC is a very expensive place, if they can't afford to live there with the job prospects in their field, they should consider moving someplace like Altoona, Youngstown or Coudersport which are all a lot less expensive.
