I keep hearing that all of the Russian speaking people in Sheepshead Bay are Russian and Ukrainian Jews and that ethnic Russians and Ukrainians are few and far between. When i sometimes go for visits to Sheepshead Bay i never encounter a single ethnic Russian or Ukrainian in the area, only Russian speaking Jews are what i come across. Are there really ethnic Russians and Ukrainians found in Sheepshead Bay or are the majority of the Russian speakers still mostly Russian and Ukrainian Jews?

What's with all these threads about ethnic Russians & Ukrainian's?
Most are 2nd and 3rd generation Russians of the Russians that arrived in the 70's who claimed to be Jewish to get out. They kept the Russian language alive and dropped the Jewish part nearly completely.
I doubt it, since there are no Chinese in Brighton Beach and the restaurant is Halel rather than Kosher. It has signage in Russian but is tailored towards the Muslim community a few blocks north of it.
What's with Sheepshead Bay and their hot roast beef eateries? Such as Brennan & Carr and Roll n Roaster.
They've been there for decades. The area even had an Amusement park w/rides at one time.
