I am a divorced straight female in my mid 30's tired of living in the big apple looking to relocate to an artsy town to cut down my rent and have little more space.

Here is what I am looking for:

-healthy food,
-good restaurants (vegan friendly)
-Artsy
-30 minutes away from NYC max (I work in Midtown)
-nature or at least close by parks
-beautiful architecture
-meet interesting adults
-Easy reliable commute to the city
-Single Friendly or mix of family/single friendly

Suggestions???

Thanks ;-)

30 minutes max is kind of pushing it... If you're commuting from outside of NYC, you need to factor in getting to the train station, then GCT or Penn to work, etc, which will make door-to-door likely more than 30 minutes. Many commutes within NYC are more than 30 minutes.

That being said, there are a few towns that come to mind, like New Paltz though again it's more than 30 minutes.
