Budget of $3600-$3700 for 1BR can get you really far. A sign of releif when shopping a similar budget downtown in SoHo, West village, etc.

I would think you could do decently for 3500++ in a one bedroom downtown.

Its no coincidence i put the most clients in the uws, even when they say only east village. Once they see what value, transportation and area is like, its an easy deal.

The UES is an even better deal than the UWS. But, yes, no shock that trendy neighborhoods are pricier than formerly trendy neighborhoods.

Anyone who cannot find a nice 1 bedroom in any part of the City for $3000+ is simply not looking.
