Hi, I have been out of NYC for 20 yrs and will be visiting this summer. Can anyone recommend jazz clubs with a laid-back atmosphere & good music that has no cover; restaurants that offer good, inexpensive food (holes in the wall OK ; and lastly, somewhere we can eat fresh delicious knishes. Thanks!

There are plenty of Chinese fast food restaurants around the city that usually offer lunch special deals that are affordable. Slices of pizza are also affordable as well eating at salad bars around the city.

I heard Katz's deli is the best . . . 205 E Houston St, New York, NY 10002

there is also Yonah Schimmels Knish bakery not too far - 137 E Houston St, New York, NY 10002

I couldn't tell you which Jazz club but you can read up and see what sounds / looks appealing to you.
