Considering an apartment on 58th and 1st. Junior 1 bedroom for a great price. However, not very familiar with the neighborhood which I believe is Sutton Place.
Any thoughts or ideas on the neighborhood for someone with my demographic?
Young professional in his mid 20's, single now, and looking to go out on weekends and meet people. On a tight budget so this apartment is definitely a bargain for the size.... I considered apartments in Turtle Bay but I would be paying only like $100 less for a studio so not really worth it for me IMO.
I think the only con is it's distance from the subway - looks like a hike on google maps. Would really appreciate everyone's thoughts!
I'm guessing that it's probably a walk up right on the entrance to the Queensboro Ed Koch Bridge. Its gonna be noisy and busy 24/7 but hey you came to New York. You're only a short throw from the 2nd Ave bars that the demographic frequents and there is a Whole Foods nearby. It is going to be a hike to the nearest Trader Joes though.
4, 5, 6, N, Q, R is not far enough that you won't get used to it. I really wanted a place on 59th and 1st but missed out. Some great food over in the low 50s near 2nd ave.
