Everything was pretty horrible in 2020, but at least we were gifted a reprieve from the annual tradition of having to avoid the vomitous path of drunk bros in Santa costumes trying to relive their undergraduate glory days. But now that the city has reopened, so too have the binge-drinking floodgates: SantaCon NYC 2021 is scheduled to happen on December 11th.
Perhaps, but this one just gets straight-up ugly in pretty short order and in broad daylight. Woe to any parent who wanders in to the neighborhood with their kids and has to explain why Santa is punching his elves and Mrs. Claus is puking in the gutter. Then again I suppose it can be instructional.
Good to see things getting back to normal. I personally don't drink but its always great to see these clickbait hipster blogs freak out about the "drunk bros" in Santa costumes from Long Island and Jersey invading their precious gentrification playgrounds once a year. Turnabout is fair play considering how they invaded NYC over the past couple of decades and displaced/priced out actual New Yorkers.

Well parents can always keep their kids inside that day if they are so afraid of what their eyes may see.
The great thing about NYC is it belongs to everyone. You don't like what others do, then go buy a big plot of land else where around no people.
I remember as a kid "Irish" drunks throwing beer cans at the buses on the way home from school on St. Paddy's Day but "Santacon" just strikes me as being unbelievably stupid. That said, meh.
