Hello everyone!

This is my first time posting a question on here and wanted to get your input. I live in philly and my wife and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary in May. My question is what are some great hotels for a romantic weekend and also some great restaurants to compliment the weekend. My wife is vegetarian so italian food is always a great option. Thanks for your help.

The Plaza & The Waldof Astoria have their repuations because of the great service & romantic settings. Of course you pay for it!

My favorite romantic restaurant is One if by Land - Two If by Sea.

Wow Viralmd... sorry to hear that. Thanks for the update. For the prices they charge it should be top shelf.

But it appears some folks may disagree:

My parents stayed at the Waldorf and it it was in desperate need of a renovation. It is also in a neighborhood that shuts down at 6pm. If money were no object, I would suggest the Mandarin Oriental.

Depends how much luxe you absolutely need. Go to the reservation page and run your dates.

Friends of mine recently stayed at the Hotel Casablanca off Times Square and loved it. It is just this side of kitsch, but they raved about the friendly, speedy and unobtrusive service.

There are tons of Asian restaurants that can provide good, vegetarian meals. One of the more upscale is Shun Lee West, opposite Lincoln Center.
