Hi,
i see the post it old, but if you are still interested, i will tell you its a lot of overtime. Even saturdays, and in some centers sundays too. And many times its a mandatory. Some people like it because it makes your check look better. You also can put it on comp time and take a paid vacation more often.
The job itself is not complicated, you will have to distribute benefits to people in needs, help them with applications, process cases. And you will have a paid training for about 6 months before you start working.
Also co-workers are friendly and helpful. Supervisors are mostly too.
After 1 year in this position you can request a transfer to other location, after 2 years working for city, you get 15% increase.
So don't get scared when you just get hired, like i did. I enjoy my work now.
