So I work in a buy-side asset management company. We deal with banking everyday. Today there was one guy from one of the ibanking called me out and questioned me directly why I didn't send him a settlement email yet and it's 4:30pm already. I checked and explained that I have already sent the email at 930am. I even confirmed his group email address with him. And then, I said it's okay. Let me resend the email now. And he said, "You Never Sent It Did You?" I was mad and shocked. But I held my anger and said I did and I am going to forward you the email that I sent this morning. So I sent him an email with the original email as attachment. He got the email and he looked and laughed at me. He said you did not put @***.com for the address this morning. I tried to explain to him that "it is just the name of the address that I save as. Not sure if it's showing up on your side, but since I just used the same address as you saw in the email and you got the email. It means it's the right address. " and he said "never mind. Doesn't matter!"

The whole time I was trying to be professional. But apparently he was not professional and he acted like an *******. I do not want to deal with him but unfortunately, I have to in future every other day. My colleagues all think he's an ******* and don't want to deal with him. I wonder, what should I do if it happens again next time. I obviously do not want to be treated rudely again but at the same time I do not want to go crazy. Is there a good way to fight back professionally?
