Has to be like the insane amount of food options here and how you can turn a corner one day and there are more and new ones plus the convenience of those restaurants/shops/24 hr stores.
Of course transportation since I hate driving.
History, Architecture, diversity of people from all walks of life.

The cosmopolitanism. That it is a truly global city. I have friends/acquaintances from all over the world. I have met interesting and attractive women from various other countries. When I leave my apt I hear languages and accents from every part of the globe.

Also the career prospects. NYC metro economy absolutely dwarfs every other metro in the country. Its in a league of its own in this regard.

A lot of things. From my perspective and experiences, this place is the only place in America that makes me want to stay in America. Too many things to list.

Other than not having to get a driver's license, I can't really think of anything to be honest. Most people spend most of their time in digital worlds now and most major cities have blandified where they are all starting to blend together, so really there is nothing special about this place. Okay, I like that there's easy access to free beaches via the subway. that's pretty much it.

Everything on your list I understand, even stairs but...elevators?

Yep. Same here. Whenever I visit elsewhere, I find myself missing NYC. The pace particularly. Find everywhere else so slow.

24/7 public transportation (including walkability) as well as major hub airports and lots of attractions that even locals can find ways to see some of them quite cheaply!
