I'm not in "shock", I'm pissed! I'm a RN, my wife works for the state, it's an area that we can afford. If you can afford a better neighborhood, well, good for you. I'm not going to sit around and take this ghetto nonsense. I file 311 complaints on a daily basis, confront litter bugs (some confrontations almost became physical), and attend my local community affairs meetings. I'm not going to sit there and let slobs ruin my area. Anyway, the demographics are starting to change in the neighborhood. Indians are starting to move in, and blacks are leaving. I saw the new owner of a house recently sold on Hollis Ave. The owner was an Indian gentlemen dressed in a suit and he had a briefcase, his young daughter happily skipping next to him. A new Indian restaurant just opened up on The Ave. If enough of them move in, my neighborhood will be the next Bellerose.

Plenty of black people in northern BK neighborhoods that aren’t doing stuff like this. This is some net level non sense right here. Turns out a lot of this is just another excuse for yet another anti-black people city data thread. Guess this is a great place to say stuff you don’t have the balls to say in real life.
Those "toys" are not that expensive. I was going to buy a really nice Harley bike - totaling about 10K, and the thing was only going to cost me below $200 a month in payments.
A quad bike is much less. A Yamaha raptor with an engine of about 49cc is only $2,000. I imagine monthly payments to be, um, oh, I don't know 50 bucks?

Also, these folks need a garage in which to park these toys (they're "toys" since they're not actually being used as tools -- i.e., doing useful work) which implies having a house which implies in turn some money...certainly more than the homeless!

Help gentrify your neighborhood anyway you can. Even the blacks (like your wife) will thank you -- especially if you raise their property values so they can sell to Indians (though you're sure they're Indians from India and not Trinis or Guyanese?? Plus there is canabalism and lots of rape in India but that doesn’t mean that all people from that region of the world are canibals and rapists.
I wish people started to look at people as individuals instead of as a massive stereotype depicted by the media.
Otherwise, I do agree that something needs to be done about other people- regardless of race - messing up the quality of life for others who are responsible hard workers.

For the most part, only the highest privileged caste from India come here. Every H1B Indian coworker I've ever had was from the highest caste. Those that do those things in India I would bet are not from the privileged caste. India has the oldest and most sophisticated selective breeding system. It's one reason why you see so many smart and hardworking Indians here, yet the average IQ and education level in India is very much subpar.
