There are Romanians in Sunnyside and Ridgewood.
Plus the Romanian Cultural Institute on E 38th has all kinds of events where you can meet Romanians.

I'm not sure how big it is, but Sunnyside, Queens has some Romanians. There's a Romanian restaurant and Romanian doctors' offices. Plus I think Parrot Coffee has Romanian products.

Where would you find people from the Central African Republic or Chad?

If there are people from Chad in NYC, I am willing to bet you can find them in Parkchester, at the progressive Parkchester mosque run by a guy from I believe Gambia (not far from Chad).

If anyone other than me is interested in this tangential subject: there is a book from NYU Press expected to come out this Oct, by Jeshiva Univ history professor J. Gurock (who grew up in Parkchester, resides in Riverdale), entitled "Parkchester: A Bronx Tale of Race and Ethnicity", reviewed as "the eight-decade history of a New York neighborhood". Wow wow wow just wow - somebody wrote a book for me!!!!

Sorry, correction of the Eastern European spelling in my previous post: that should have been Yeshiva Univ, with a Y.

Many Romanians at one time in Ridgewood during the 70's.
Those that graduated to higher incomes went onto Glendale and other locations.
