We're talking about two different things.
You are criticising people for their trump derangement syndrome, yet offer no reason why supporting a charlatan of 16,000 documented lies should be supported.
Why can't we all just look past the lies and the tantrums , you say. Why can you, I say .
There's no major city/state elections this year, all the bid city offices are next year, so we'll have to see who runs.
But of the current crop of idiots in office, the first that comes immediately to mind is AOC. Bla is right up there also. And lets include the city council and assembly critters from Queens that ran off Amazon, now giving NYC an anti-business reputation. That reputation being pushed in a negative direction by the state legislature imposing draconian rent regulations, which will essentially shut down rental construction in NYS (and they're pushing for more.)
They're actively trying to Detroitify NYC.

Forget about trying to save the GOP in NY. As a NYC conservative, as many white ethnic Irish/Italian/Germans/Polish are, we couldn't give a ratz azz what happens to NYC going forward. It will implode, like it did in the 1970s. Then once the savages, and you know who I mean by savages, are unleashed, they will force voters to bring back a Gulliani type figure to keep the peace and save the city. We'll need about 2 to 3 more terms of cesspool liberal wackos like DeBlasio and Cory Johnson and AOC types to win office before the turn happens. And the turn will eventually happen.
At 47, I'm quite satisfied having lived in old school NYC and no longer have the desire, like many. My future will be out in beautiful Orange County, CA. See ya's.

Lots of white power groups in Orange county for you to join. I'm sure they'd like the support. However even OC has become purple lately. Even so, definitely more conservative than NYC . Should be a better fit for you

As a white ethnic catholic, white power groups don't like my kind. You need to finish 8th grade. Or go back to a good high school in a nice suburb because the public one you went to didn't work too well.
OC is indeed purple, which is nice. That's how NYC used to be. The one I grew up in. And Hispanic Americans in OC are far different both socially and culturally than the illegal aliens flooding NYC. They are wonderful, prideful people who are American first, Hispanic second. The way it should be for all immigrant groups, including mine.

After a series of electoral losses in New York, the state Republican party is looking to restructure and join the conversation on hot topic policies.
Conservative New Yorkers are seemingly left out of debates over dominant public policies like bail reform and immigration.
That has to do with so few holding office in our city and at the state level.
Wouldn't it perhaps be more correct to say that conservative New Yorkers may be left out because their party has not been able to muster good candidates? After all, we've had Republicans mayors.
Perhaps if Republicans weren't so money-oriented, with so many going into business and finance, but instead thought more in terms of public service, they might have candidates with some broader appeal.
