I know a couple of people who caught it and recovered. Plus there are famous people who got it and recovered. Deblassio always says how this disease is bad, and we cant open the city because of the disease.

the people I know arent dying, they dont need medicine like an AIDS patient to stay alive. Are they calling it a disease because it kills you? Because the flu can kill you to, and its never been called a disease

Covid 19 is an infectious viral disease. That's probably why he refers to it as a disease.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_disease

The reason why Dr Fauci is so involved is because he is the director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases.

People often recover from many diseases so recovery has nothing to do with it.

Then by that definition, a common cold is also a disease.

The CDC estimates that as many as 56,000 people die from the flu or flu-like illness each year. SOURCES: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases: "Common Cold."

Yeah, I'm not following the question - says more bout the OP's understanding of disease than Deblassios. Did ya try google?

A disease is a particular abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism, and that is not due to any immediate external injury.

That's why gambling is a disease, and alcoholism, and schizophrenia...and COVID, colds, flus, lots of stuff. Disease is a super broad term.

You don't think it's a disease? What on earth do you think it is? A personality trait? A physical inconvenience? A character flaw? It's called a disease because that's what it is.
