I think businesses do temperate checks for liability reasons and to cover their own butt.
Sadly those who don't care about others and want to do what they want to do, will just pop some advil and get on with their day and pass all temp checks.
My temp runs really low. 96-97 most of the time. Wonder if that would confuse them.
One job I had the reader came up for my check as 75 degrees, even after numerous tries. As im not a vampire and didnt have any symptoms of Covid they let me work.
I would have no problem with a check. Its quick and then im on my way.
So? I've had my temp checked at a few places recently. They just wave a contactless thermometer at you, and then you go on your way. It takes about five seconds.

The issue would be if they were unfamiliar with low temps and thought that was a sign of illness and not let me in. That is all.
