There is a car that illegally parks on my street in NYC almost daily. They receive a ticket almost every day. Even when parked legally, they don’t move on Street Cleaning days and get a ticket then too. They are the worst.

Anyway, I went into the NYC system as if I were them to pay a ticket to see how many they have using their license plate number. They owe over $13K in parking and traffic cam tickets dating back to 2019 across a few license plates. That is insane.

They were booted yesterday but the boot was off a few hours later. Last night they illegally parked again and were ticketed this morning.

Tickets obviously do nothing because they are not paying. The boot did nothing because they were right back at it that day. I assume they had to make some sort of payment to get the boot off.

How can I get them towed? Is that possible? 311 just will get an officer to ticket.

Thanks!

Did you check the plate number after the boot was removed to see if any payments had been made??

As far as I know they only way you can call a tow truck to come, any tow company, is if they are blocking your driveway and they have been ticketed for the offense already. The tow truck may take.

If they're getting tickets why do you care? Are they personally affecting you?

Where in Ridgewood is this car located? Have you tried speaking with the owner or are you afraid?
