Mott Haven section of The Bronx is becoming one of NYC hottest rental markets

New York’s rental market of the moment is in the Bronx, where a cluster of new luxury apartments along the Harlem River and competitive prices are drawing crowds.

Developers are pouring money into new buildings in the Bronx, especially in the popular Mott Haven neighborhood, where much of the new supply is poised to open. Even global giants such as Brookfield Properties are developing multifamily towers in the area, which boasts riverfront views of the Manhattan skyline

Online traffic for Bronx rental listings in June ranked the highest for any location in the Northeast, according to the apartment-search company RentCafe. Listing traffic for the Bronx has increased nearly 50% since last year. Online users of RentCafe have added twice as many Bronx apartments to their favorites list this June as they did a year earlier.

Good for Bronx, I say ots about time it got some love.
I Think Bronx comes second after Brooklyn as far as interesting buildings and streets. Queens being the absolute bore to death.

It's a natural outgrowth of a market with very low supply. Mott Haven is hot because upper Manhattan got "too expensive" for some.

The 'no place left to build' theory of development.

This area of the Bronx is certainly positioned close to Manhattan, and it was only a matter of time that it started to blow up, development-wise.

Excited to see this area grow and develop. Just don't want it to push out residents, but that is unfortunately unevitable with gentrification.
