Where are some of your favorite places to go for live music? Whether it be to a cafe, night club, or restaurant with a performer, where are the best places to go - preferably at night - for live music in NYC? I am primarily interested in the following genres of music:
-Jazz
-Coffeehouse/guitar and singing
-Rock
-Latin (salsa, merengue, etc.)
I have gone to some shows with friends at various small concert venues and also regularly go to see live flamenco at a Spanish restaurant in the East Village, but I would like to try some new places.. thanks in advance for the input.
I think I can help you with that ... I know many places in Manhattan and also night clubs. You can easily find Latin Music in Washington Heights ... there is club/lounge call la Fortuna in the Bronx that I love... Also, if you are interested in night clubs, Marquee and Cain are good, they put every kind of music. If you want more ideas contact me @ meryna.lou@gmail.com
