I am possibly considering an offer from a company located in Bridgewater.
I recently graduated college and am 23. So, I'm looking for a very social, young neighborhood. I'm originally from Chicago so I'm hoping to find places like Wrigleyville, Lincoln Park, etc.
How would the commute be from let's say Elizabeth, Union, or Newark?
As usual, looking for relatively low crime, social people, good nightlife, reasonably priced and good neighborhoods.

Well, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!!
I used to commute to work in Bridgewater, NJ, from one of NYC's boroughs. My experience with Bridgewater is: a beautiful, affluent suburb, for married people, with good schools to raise their children.
To travel from Union, Elizabeth, or Newark, I would not recommend due to traffic. You would probably do better in Woodbridge, Metuchen, and the Menlo Park area of Edison. Good-luck.
If you want a younger crowd in a slightly denser area, try New Brunswick or Highland Park. Rutgers (NJ's flagship state college) is there, and there are a lot of students and young people. I would guess that would be like a 15-20 minute drive to work, although it depends where in Bridgewater as the town is huge, geographically.
Other than New Brunswick (or Princeton, which is further away south), everything close to Bridgewater is full of families. The whole area is very suburban/exurban.
You could also try Morristown; it's pretty nice and a little bit denser. Further away to the north, but it's a straight shot down I-287 to Bridgewater, probably not more than 25-30 minutes.
Commuting from the nicer, more urban areas of New Jersey that you would really like and have a lot to offer young people (Jersey City, Hoboken, Fort Lee, etc.) would take a long time, especially with traffic. Bridgewater is pretty far out there. Elizabeth and Newark have little to offer young people (although Newark is getting better, it has a long way to go); don't know so much about Union*, but I think it's mostly lower-middle class families rather than young people and less urban.
So, yeah, look at Morristown, Highland Park, New Brunswick, maybe Princeton. Montclair, too, but it's a longer commute.
*Unless you're talking about Union City, which is an ultra-dense [densest in the country], heavily Hispanic city in Hudson County that would be a terrible commute.
